Are you part of the 97 percents of network marketers who are not having success? While there are probably many reasons why, you may not have examined this one reason. The unfortunate part is this reason is seldom taught at the trainings.
Traditional training in network marketing is immediately create a list of your friends and family. Then go out and contact them and offer them the opportunity to view the presentation. The new sponsor follows the training and the majority of time fall into this trap of either being weak and needy or overly assertive. This repels the people you want to look at your presentation. One of the primary things that should be taught in network marketing is to think like your prospect.
What does your network marketing prospect look for in a sponsor? This is a question that the majority of network marketing trainings do not focus on. Now that you have the question present you can understand why it is so important. Go back to your own experience when you considered joining your network marketing opportunity.
While you may have been blinded by the income you can create, did you not believe the person who presented the opportunity was going to guide you? What was the one thing you wanted from your sponsor guidance and support. Where did your sponsor go after a while, when the success you thought was so easy didn’t materialize.
Remember this when you are presenting your opportunity: People do not join a network marketing company. They do not join a compensation plan, the product or service. They are joining you. They join you because they believe you are going to teach them how to get success. This is a very real responsibility for you and it must be extremely important to you to ensure you have success.
You must be worth joining! What does your network marketing prospect look for in a sponsor?
They look for a sponsor who possesses the qualities of leadership. They look for a sponsor who has a strong mindset and believes in the business they in. Your prospect looks for a sponsor to behave, act and think like the leader they potentially want to become. The sponsor looks for a leader who is honest and maintains their integrity.
A leader is truly someone who has an intention to make the prospects life better. Leaders who have extraordinary vision of what they want to attain for themselves and their organization. Leaders with these kids of qualities usually sponsor the best possible prospects.
Read that again: Your prospect looks for a leader who has all the above qualities. A prospect looks for a sponsor who is a leader and has the intention of making the prospects life better.
Just going out and teaching people the old way to do network marketing and speak to friends and family your results are going to be less then stellar. However if you decide to discover what it means to be a leader your success will eventually grow. Investing in your own personal development of how to lead, to communicate, to market, and generate your own leads then you have a tremendous amount of value to offer your prospect.
By offering tons of value, your prospect then knows they are making the right decision to align themselves with you. Leaders join other leaders in creating huge organization with each leader duplicating each other.
The next time you’re speaking to a prospect, look through your prospects eyes and ask yourself: What does my network marketing prospect look for in a sponsor? Why not just ask them? The answer will surprise you. Invest in yourself, in personal development understand what it means to be and act like a leader. Building your true value will have others seeing how valuable it is to be aligned with you.
